I had a strange thought while working on a craft project this week.
When we sew something new, we usually don’t start by inventing every measurement from zero, we choose a pattern, adjust it, personalize the details, and build from there. It saves time while still letting us create something unique.
That made me wonder why website building has always felt so much harder than that.
For years, making a website seemed like a technical headache: coding, layout planning, revisions, hiring someone, then waiting forever for changes. But now I keep reading about systems that can literally create website from prompt, where you describe what kind of site you need and AI generates the first structure automatically.
In a way, that sounds a lot like using a ready pattern in sewing, the framework appears first, and then the human adds personality, finishing touches, and custom details.
Maybe creative work in every field is moving toward the same idea now: less time building the skeleton, more time refining the final look.
